A British firm (http://www.image-alchemy.com) is looking for a Guangdong-based Chinese Assistant to co-ordinate suppliers and manufacturers based in China. This will be in conjunction with the firm’s Managing Director who is primarily based in the UK. A competitive salary will be provided.
Responsibilities:
1.Accompanying the Managing Director whilst he is on business visits in Hong Kong and Guangdong, especially Dong Guan, Zhu Hai or Shen Zhen.
2.Provide oral and document translation.
3.Act as the firm’s local representative in China and become involved in the management of the product quality and production processes.
4.Co-ordinate and liaise with shipping companies like TNT and DHL to ensure punctual deliveries to the UK and global dealers.
The successful applicant will possess the following qualities and skills:
1.Speak both Mandarin and Cantonese as their mother tongue.
2.Excellent written and oral English with little accent.
3.Flexible working hours – to suit study and work requirements.
4.Telephone and email contact.
5.A business background. Related working experience is preferred.
6.Educated to degree standard. Master student or graduate preferred.
7.Mature attitude/reasonably assertive.
8.High degree of personal integrity and detail-oriented.
9.Willingness to travel around Guangdong such as Dong Guan, Zhu Hai or Hong Kong as necessary.
10.Hold the Hong Kong and Macao SAR Travel Permits.
This role is non-office based and is not a full time position.
